Get with the Process

“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6

Get with the Process

There are, from time to time, days when it seems that nothing good is happening in life.  Those dreadful days that prolonged frustration, doubt, discouragement, and despair sets in and it feels like God is waaay over there…somewhere.  Way over there where our best laid plans were—those plans and bright ideas that just didn’t work out no matter how hard we tried to achieve them. We prayed about it and generated a check list of tasks to accomplish goals—all for naught! Kapoosh!!

The good news is that the good work that despite us and our frustrations, doubts, discouragement, and despair, the good work that God has only begun in us is for the long-haul of our lives. 00Because whether we are having a good day or a string of going-no-where-fast days, the good work within us installed by God is a process—a process that the LORD has the power and the patience to bring to fruition.

One good move to make during those unnerving moments of trial, is to reflect upon God “good works capacity” as we know it.  We know that the bible tells us that God is good and his mercy endures forever—that includes power of God’s compassionate love and kindness toward us regardless of how bad things are in our lives.  Truth is, we know that the LORD’s supernatural battery of blessings is coming at us at all times.

Even more good news is that we have not worked for or earned any of the good works that God has begun in us.  That’s because of Grace.  So, what is left for us to do as confident believers in times of discouragement—to prayerfully get with the process of God’s plan for us during our good days and challenging days.  Then say with confidence, I’m in step with the process.

Yours in Christ
