Rev. Lurecie M. Stokes

Reverend Lurecie M. Stokes is the Assistant to the Pastor for Pastoral Care and Counseling.  Rev. Stokes was ordained by Dr. Charles Gilchrist Adams, Pastor Emeritus of Hartford Memorial Baptist Church.  Under his steady leadership and support she pursued and received a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry and an Urban Ministries Diploma from Ecumenical Theological Seminary.  She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Ball State University.

Rev. Stokes’ mission is to provide Hartford members and non-members an array of ministerial services of care on behalf of the Pastor. Her passion for Christian service is in alignment with Hartford’s vision: “We are in the world on assignment from God to represent God’s truth, God’ sense of justice, and God’s perfect love.”

Rev. Stokes manages and implements a ministry approach that addresses the needs of the whole person as much as possible either by direct interaction, partnerships, or by referrals.
